134a will work.... but if your a/c still isn't or the compressor still doesn't work, before you go replacing the compressor make sure you didn't put too much freon in there (then it cant circulate and it will feel like it served no purpose at all) and then check your a/c relay, that could possibly be a cheap fix, they can go bad, epically if you like reaming thepiss out of your motor lol.... good luck
