Default Re: changing oil questions!

To summarize :

You will need:

1. The recommended oil (rely on the manual or someone experienced with oil
change who has the same car you have) with the required Qty.
2. Oil filter
3. Oil filter wrench
4. An drain pan or a plastic tray to collect the old oil from the engine.
5. A wrench to open the engine oil compartment to let out the old oil. (keep
a set with common sizes)
6. a set of ramps ( if you dont have anything to elevate the car, so you can
go underneath it and remove oil and change the oil filter.)

Dont use jack to elevate the car as it is very dangerous to do so.

If you are in the US you can go to Walmart or PepBoys, they have all the
stuff required to change the oil.
Also dont forget to bring the drained oil to PepBoys or some auto repairer
and dump it in their hazardous waste drums.

well I did the oil change first time on my own and so thought these tips
might be useful, experts are welcome to correct me, if I am wrong in any
poin or pour in their suggestions
