We have a 99 CRV and it is doing a great job with mileage and basic cost of use. I would suggest you get the two wheel drive instead of the all wheel drive if you don't need the traction for driving in your area. The two wheel drive will get better mileage and of course cost less to purchase up front. If your in the "snow belt", then go for the AWD, it will likely pay for itself in safe driving with any poor road conditions.
