The only way to get the check engine light off is to do the swap correctly. If the engine was not obd1 then you are going to have problems. If it was obd1 then all you should have needed was the complete motor/tranny, the COMPLETE wiring harness from the D15, the ECU from the D15, and all the sensors from the D15. of course the axles, shift linkage, ETC... But if the engine wiring harness and ECU are from the same car, and everything is plugged up you should not get the check engine light, UNLESS like I said the motor is NOT obd1. The intake manifold WILL NOT make the engine light come on.
