The AWD system used in the CR-V is called "Realtime 4WD". Basically, it runs on FWD unless it detects slippage on front wheels, or if you are accelerating from stop. The car should be OK in snow and ice, as long as you're trying to get away from it. The good is that its roomy, and is powerful enough for a 4-cylinder. The only bad thing is that the European models get HID headlights and the American version comes with only the Halogen ones.Recommended options:Fog lampsRunning boardsDay and Night compass mirrorsCargo NetBackup Sensors
