I think, based on having owned two Fords, that they spend a lot of money to buy that survey result. And I don't mean fair and square either.The problem with initial quality is the time frame it is based on.Perhaps Fords are holding up better during the first 90 days of life. The new Fusion looks very nice sitting next to an Accord, but I wouldn't want to bet on how long the Ford would last from a mechanical standpoint.And the dealer network is the other deal breaker. I've never had a satisfactory experience obtaining warranty service from Ford. What's the point in offering a warranty if you won't honor it?That's why I'm driving a Civic and plan to buy another Honda later this year.
