Toyota Highlander Hybrid. It's considered an SUV, but it's based on the Camry platform- so it's more of a car. Just the aesthetics shout SUV. The Prius is a hatchback if that counts. Also, why pay the premium for a hybrid? It could take up to 10 years to recoup the difference in price unless you drive over 45,000 miles a year. Not only that, only certain mechanics can or will work on them and when the battery does finally die, it'll cost you more than the conventional engine that's in the car. Also, the environmental reason is a untrue because the battery's environmental disposal costs will be steep since batteries are not environmentally friendly.
