I don't know exactly what a 'spoon engine' entails, but I can tell you that hmotorsonline.com has probably the best customer service and pricing i've seen. I got an 88-91 B16 longblock from them, came with MAD extra stuff (alt, p/s pump, DISTRIBUTOR) and the motor was so clean when I got it you could eat off of it. I'd get a swap and then put on whatever spoon jdm-ness parts you need afterwards.
