the dip stick for the tranny should be on the drivers side of the engine. the fluid goes in the dip stick tube. use a funnel to avoid spilling it. also make sure it is the tranny dipstick, and not the oil. it should have some kind of marking on the stick to let you know which one it is. i hope this is more helpful than someone telling you to get away from you car, or telling you to drive it off a cliff.
