Most decent modern cars, with minimal care, should go 200,000 miles with little or no problems. That said, however, a lot can happen to a car in 16 years and 185,000 miles, so unless you KNOW that it's been EXTREMELY well taken care of it's entire life, it's probably a lousy buy -- more of a $500. car.
