The biggest variables for car insurance are you -- your age, driving
record, etc. -- and the liabilities limits you opt for in the policy.
Unless you have a special car that carries a high premium like a
Corvette, the make and model are not the prime determinants. Accords
are within the standard range for insurance. I compared several cars
with my insurance agent before purchasing my Accord. They were all
about the same (Camry, Accord, Passat et al). On the other hand, the
rates for my daughter driving a 8 year old car are three times my
rates mostly because she's 18. The collision and comprehensive are
just about the same. The liability is a lot higher.
Comparing prices without knowing the other details is meaningless.
