ok here we go.,,my son says, the ex version comes single cam vtec, lx comes single cam non vtec. The ex also comes with rear drums, no disk brakes...only the si comes with rear disks. The horsepower between the lx and ex is only about a 3-5 horsepower difference..so no great concerns there. (that would be for the 96-99 models). the recommendation would be to buy the si..because you get dual cams, rear disk brakes and can get more after market parts if your into tuning and better engine swap capabilities.
