Lots of vehicles today have switches on the dash that you can adjust things like how long the head lamps and interior lights stay on when you turn the car off I had a Lincoln that would turn the head lamps on when it got dark with a photo cell on the dash. but if you had this you would not be asking this Question. I have disabled day time running light by locating the fuse and removing it this has always been a separate fuse from the normal head lamps.
