well they might have changed this, but in 2002 the corolla was better because it has a timing chain vs. timing belt. timing belts need to be replaced every 60-80,000 for like $600. In Corollas you don't need to worry about that, Hondas you do. Typically Toyota Corollas are the most reliable cars on the planet.
