The check engine light is on for a reason Your computer in your car turns that light on when it gets a trouble code. take your care to auto zone or a parts store near you Most can read your codes on your computer And tell you what is wrong. If you go to Auto zone, Pep boys, Advanced some chain store they read the codes for free Hint save some money that way. If you take it to a dealer right away The will charge you to do the same thing you could have had done for free. The code reader can also reset your check engine light to. If you remove the negative cable from the battery and leave it off for 5 min it will sometimes reset your computer.
