Yes it woud -- my ex and I had a used car lot for over 10 yrs. so I've seen a LOT of different cars and as far as repair, maintenance, reliability, gas mileage, performance goes, you can't go wrong with a Honda and Accords in particular. Also, the resale value stays up there better than other cars. Just make sure you check it out thoroughly - you might want to get the vin number or license plate number and run it through online to make sure it hasn't been in any major wrecks and get a history on it --- number of owners, cities/states it's been registered in, whether it's been labeled a "gross polluter" because of a failed smog in the past, etc..
