First of all...its VTEC...stop spelling it like a f*****g retard.Second of all, yes, you will need the matching ECU for the engine your swapping in or else it isnt going to function correctly and most importantly your Vtec will not engage because if your using the wrong ECU there wont be a signal for it to engage.
