Often this means that you have grooved discs or warping in your rotor, assuming you have front disc brakes. This usually begins to occur at high speed and then, as the brakes become more and more damaged, the steering will "shudder" at lower and lower speeds. You should have a mechanic decide which parts of the brake to replace.
