Supercharged - Pulley-driven...makes small amount of parasitic load on engine because of the pulley driving the compressor...provides excellent low end power but not as much at higher rpm's. Excellent choice for high revving 4-cylinder engines that dont produce much torque.Turbochargers - Exhaust driven...suffers from "lag" the bigger you go, needs more exhaust to get the turbine spinning...excellent for higher end power but not low end torqueThey are basically the same concept, but just driven differently. It all depends on the application.
