i'm a grad with honors in mech. and most of my work is front drive jap.subcompacts there very good cars and if you ask my bro he'll tell you honda/acura are gods gift to humans.its all good,it's just a matter of p.m. preventive maintanice ,spark plugs/plug wires,cap and rotor,fuel filter,air filter,fresh oil and oil filter,good fuel system cleaner,this is all cheap and should be done on a reguler basis, if your problem persist then its a sensor thats starting to go like the o2 sensor(oxegen)or map sensor(manifold absolut pressure sensor) word of the wise get more than one opinion cuz some mechs. are cheaters, do things like mark the spark plugs with nail polish and things like that to make sure, the biggest cheaters are big company shops...if your check engine light is on look no further than a sensor but if it dosent than is something simple...peace
