In almost all cases the Type R motor is not worth the extra money. $1,500 for GSR motor and $4,000 for Typr R. For $2,500, you can get better internals and cams for the GSR.Both engines have similar torque and the higher horsepower of the Type R can't be utilized unless you are racing on race tracks only. As a daily driver, you will very very rarely notice the extra horsepower that comes in at 8,000 rpm.
