I had an '05 TL. There was a three position switch to adjust the passenger or driver mirror. The middle position did nothing.If the switch was in the middle position it stopped you knocking the control and accidentally adjusting the mirror. When you backed up, nothing happened.But if you left that same switch not in the middle position, but on the left or right, it would cause the selected mirror to dip upon reversing.Try that and see if it works. If not, maybe that feature wasn't present on the '03 model.
