No plans for Acura to change the requirement. It is basically the same vehicle as the 2007, which was just redesigned. Ok, let's think about this logically...you are buying a $40,000+ vehicle but won't buy it if it requires premium fuel? If you can afford a $40,000+ vehicle, pay the extra $3 a week for the premium. Get what you want. You will kick yourself if you are comparing the CX-9 to the MDX and expect the same satisfaction. If you really are dead set against it, look at the Honda Pilot. Although it is a little less attractive in and out, it is much cheaper, on the same platform, and does not require premium.
