Wow, my husband just solved this same problem on his Honda Accord LX for advice for a mere $20. There is a lever on the right air OUT. If you can reach with your finger in the vent you can feel for it. Slide it over and you get AC. In the fall, slide it back and you get heat. Be sensitive, have the guy show you how. Don't get ripped off by someone who wants to take out your entire dash for $200. You can do it . Don't force anything.
