usually around 2500-3000 rpms. i always shift at 4000-5000 but i race around alot. to get the best mileage and to be easier on your motor, 2500-3000 is the best.i burn a ton of gas, but have fun doing it. sometimes i even bring mine to 7000 in every gear.. but mine redlines at 8000
