Okay dash board lights, the ones that light up to inform you of a problem. Well my battery light and my light light (the one that looks like a lightbulb with eyelqashes) they both come on after about 3 minutes of driving. I have no idea which lights (headlights, interior lights) the dash light is referring to, All i know is i have gone thru 3 batteries. The car dies every three to four days while i am driving it and it wont restart until i jump it. the first two batteries were cheap ones. so i bought a brand name battery and it not only didn't keep the car charged, it started to smoke. what is the problem. A mechanic. tested the alternator and the thing-a-ma-jig inside of the alternator, both are working fine. i figured he would keep looking for the problem, NOT. he said he doesnt know why the lights are coming on or why ive burnt up the batteries.
