no u will have no problems taking it to 8000 rpms, the actual rev limiter or fuel cut off on an 06 rsx type s is actualy at 8600 rpms. i have taken my car up that high on a few occasions and have had no problems or repercussions since then. Taking it anywhere past 8600 though, u may run into trouble especialy with a stock block and internals, u could throw a rod or bend a valve. so just keep it below 8600 and u will be fine.
