No, in fact most cars that have a premium requirement will run on regular or mid-grade. The on-board computer will accommodate for the difference in octane on it's own. Just don't switch back and forth as this will cause problems down the line. One thing to remember though, when you switch to the lower octane you'll lose roughly 2% - 8% of your horsepower. So make a determination - a few less horses or a few more dollars in your pocket.
