if you want to lower your car springs are a good idea. performance shocks however are recommended if u do so. the general rule of thumb is if u lower you're car more than 1.4/1.5 inches u should replace the shocks aswell. i am thinking about doing the same, springs and shocks i've heard good things about Eibach and Tien springs
