Jordan.....listen to me...I sell Acura's. First, your car does not need to be on. Simply hold your remote up to the Homelink buttons. At the same time press your remote and the first button on the Homelink and hold them down for roughly 20-30 seconds. It should slowly flash red and when it picks up the signal (20 seconds) it should flash quickly......you are now programmed! Directions are also in your owner's manual. The train button they are referring to is actually on your garage door machine in your garage. Try my method first and if that does not work for you, then look for the train button on your opener. It will depend on what type of opener you have. Most are compatible without having to look for the train button. Good luck, I hope this helped!
