I also drive a Honda and I take my car to the dealer because of service and reliability, they know the car best because they are used to selling it and servicing it. I think the mileage between oil changes is a combination of weather and driving style.An agressive driver and bad weather will put more strain on the engine, so it is assumed that the oil gets dirtier.I would also consider tire rotation and air filter in the mix.I thend to change oil between 4-6K miles, depending on how I feel the weather and my driving has been.
