The base hp is 195 for the 98 I believe. It went to 200hp for 00 and 01. The best thing to start with is an Intake and Exhaust. I prefer Injen intake and the exhaust doesnt matter as much. Just stick with Apex-I, Greddy, HKS, or Thermal R&D. That will give you about 15hp for $700-$800. Next is headers, go with DC Sports if you can. That will run you $300. Next, get a set of VTEC ($400) cams and an Apex-I VFAC. ($300 VTEC/Fuel Controller). The header, cams, and VFAC (once tuned) will give you an extra 25-30hp, for a grand total of an extra 40-50hp with all the mods. Or go turbo or supercharger.
