There is no reason to run a higher octane than what your car requires. High octane fuel burns at a higher and narrower temperature range so some engines that run hot or with high compression require it. The 98 honda accord is designed for regular fuel so high octane will have no effect, unless you have seriously modified your engine to run leaner or with higher compression.
