You've got no distributor.

Why, on a car this new, do you need to adjust the ignition timing?

To check it, you need a timing light.

If you've removed the chain for some reason, you need to make sure all the
marks line up properly, with the #1 piston at the top of its compression
stroke, before buttoning it all up.
