I have a 1998 Honda Accord LX that I purchased used and the car has run
fine up until a year ago where the car would just randomly shut off.
After lots of trouble shooting I found that the problem was in the
ignition cylinder, if I hit a bump the key would move slightly and the
car shut off. I finally got around to replacing the ignition cylinder
with one of the same from honda approx $160 from dealer to dealer (I am
a Jaguar mechanic) it came with a new set of keys too so I figured the
transponder code was in the ignition cylinder. I install it and the car
doesnt start but turns over, I double check all my connections and
still no luck. it is saturday and I have no way to get in touch with
ALLDATA or the dealer to see if there is a special procedure. Anyone
have any ideas?
