Have you replaced the car's shock absorbers? If you're still using the
original shocks, your tires won't perform as designed. Regardless of
the miles, 10 years is a long time for OEM shocks.

An Accord with a properly maintained suspension can make good use of a
"high performance" tire. But you don't want more grip than the
suspension can handle. Not good to hit a pothole at speed with a
suspension lacking the ability to absorb impact.
