A tranny can leak just cause some idiot did not get the gasket in the
right place. Honda trannies are not that vulnerable to leaks - but it
does happen. A couple of years ago was on my belly in a Honda showroom
looking at the underside of an Oddy to see where the oil drain/filter
were located - real PITA on my 97 accord - have to jack her up to
change the oil.

The double digit iq sales turkey comes over and asks, "What are you
doing under that Odyssey" - said it in a very nasty tone - he was
working with a couple who were considering buying an Oddy - I said to
the DD IQ sales turkey - "Since you asked in such a nice way - hey this
tranny has a leak - tranny fluid is on the floor - better get that leak
fixed before some sucker buys it."

My 97 accord has 194 on the clock - no problems with the auto tranny
except for replacing speed sensors - easy fix at about 140K.
