Hello Folks,

Please help me understand about what are all my options. Here is my sad
story. We bought a Honda Accrod EX 2005 model on November 2005. We put
in 3000 miles last week and took the car for the oil change..this where
we got a heart attack...the local shop advised that, the oil leak
everywhere around the transmission and they advised me that, it is very
very unusual.

And we took our car to the local Honda dealer to verify it, they also
advised me that, they need to change the entire transmission. Here is
our option, we or no one wants to touch our transmission in the 3000
miles.

We talked to the dealer to know more about our options, they said, the
dealer could buy it for a very very cheaper price as a used car. But we
are kind of so disappointed about this car and we couldnt even believe
this story. In the sametime, we dont want loose 4000 to 5000 bucks on
this car to seel it to the dealer as a used car.

Please guys helps us understand what do we need to do to get a
favourable option towards the owners perspective.

Is there anyway we might talk to the American Honda people to make our
case strong and get us another car or do some favour on our side
instead of loosing couple thousand dollars to sell it to the dealer.

We are kind of so disappointed please help us understand the
seriousnous of the problem.

Please advice folks...
