The problem with a remote start system; is you have to defeat the
Imobilizer system to make it work.
And, yes aftermarket accessories (of any kind) will potentially void your
warranty if the installation of the aftermarket accessory is directly related
to the specific problem.
Plan on paying a diagnostic fee up front for any problem that even
remotely (pun intended) smells like it's related to the aftermarket accessory
you have had installed.
