I had a similar experience with my 92 Accord. Took me 2-3 trips to the
dealer and drove with the head mechanic before he could catch the noise and
replaced the clutch under warranty. Of course, at the beginning, they said
everything was normal and blame the noise I heard from everything including
the thick floor mats. Good luck.
