It's located in the air intake manifold and also called the
"TA sensor." See item 15 (between items 18 and 23 on the
drawing) at

The TA sensor sends a signal to the engine control computer
that affects the fuel injection duration.

Seems to me its vital to proper operation. Dunno about
starting.

Dunno about this cold air intake. If you have a web site
describing it, please post it.
