Hi;

I have a 91 4 door Honda Civic.

The seat belt alarm has been going off at random intervals for no
apparent reason.

When it does, it goes off for a long time. Needless to say it is
getting on my nerves.

My mechanic replaced a small pen-like spring, which helped. It does it
less, but it still does it.

He told me that if I could bring it in while it is going off that he
could find the circuit responsible for the sound and burn it out.

The problem is, it happens at random. I can't afford to ditch to go to
my mechanic whenever the behavior comes back. I can't reproduce the
problem at will.

Can anyone suggest an alternative solution?
