Re: Gas mileage Accord V6
You should expect 20 city /28 hwy. I have a '99 V6 and regularly get 26 mpg
with 60% at 60 mph. If 100% hwy, I get 35 mpg with cruise control at 78 mph
(8 mph over the limit.). I can't see it being tires, unless they are
essentially flat. Injectors sound unlikely as I just had mine cleaned for
the first time at 92k miles.
+ Are you confident that you don't have a fuel leak? Look under the car
after its been parked for a long while. Park in your normal spots
(inclined/declined/side-angles)
+ are you doing all city driving and letting the car idle for long periods?
+ do you have a teenager who could be syphoning gas? hahaha
+ pop open your air filter and ensure that it is not "black" with dirt. I
assume that it is clean though.
+ does a clogged EGR valve cause poor gas mileage? I know that generation
(the '99 did anyway) had EGR recalls.
