I don't know the details of the Accord transmission but you might measure the
resistance of each of the control solenoids, especially if the problem is more
pronounced when the transmission is warm. I had a similar problem on my 1988
Prelude. It has two shift solenoids and two lock-up solenoids. Check your
service manual. You can probably open up a connector near the transmission or
at the control module to make the readings.
On my car 20 to 30 ohms is normal. I had some readings at 900 ohms! The
solenoids get hot and often won't release when the computer tells them to.
